Privacy Policy

yallacome ("we", "us") is an app that helps a group of friends organize padel games and outings and fairly split shared costs. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using yallacome you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account details you provide when you sign up: username, email address, phone number, and a password (stored only in securely hashed form — we never see your raw password).
- Content you create: groups you make or join, events you post, your RSVPs, and expenses and split details you enter.
- Photos you upload to an event gallery or attach to an expense as a receipt.
- Location(precise or approximate, depending on the permission you give your device) — only while you switch on "On the way" live sharing for an event. We store your latest position so the other people going to that event can see it on the map. You choose when to turn it on, you can turn it off at any time, and sharing stops when you leave the screen. We never collect your location in the background.
- Notifications generated by your activity (e.g. when an event is posted or a payment is marked settled).
- Usage and diagnostic datacollected automatically when you use the app: the pages you open, the actions you take, your device type, browser, approximate region from your IP address, an analytics identifier, and crash and error reports. See "Analytics and error reporting" below.
How we use your information
- To create your account and run the core features of the app.
- To verify your phone number at signup (via a one-time SMS code) and to confirm your email address.
- To notify you and your group members by email and in-app about events, RSVPs, and cost settlements.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show ads.
What other group members can see
yallacome is built for shared planning, so people in a group you belong to can see your username, your RSVPs, and the expense shares that involve you (who owes whom). Your email, phone number, and password are never shown to other members.
Service providers we use
We rely on trusted third parties that process data on our behalf, under their own security and privacy commitments:
- Supabase — database, accounts, and secure storage of your data.
- Twilio — sends the one-time SMS code that verifies your phone number.
- Resend — sends confirmation and notification emails.
- Vercel — hosts the application, and provides page-view and performance measurement.
- PostHog — product analytics: which screens and features are used, so we can improve the app.
- Sentry — collects crash and error reports so we can fix faults.
- Google Maps Platform— powers place search. What you type in the place box, and your device's IP address, go to Google so it can suggest places.
- OpenStreetMap and OpenRouteService — draw the live map and the road route. Your device requests map tiles from them.
Analytics and error reporting
To keep the app working and to decide what to build next, we measure how the app is used. PostHog and Vercel record page views, taps, device and browser type, and an approximate region taken from your IP address, linked to an analytics identifier and to your account id. Sentry records crash and error reports, which can include the page you were on and technical details of the fault.
This data is used only by us, to run and improve yallacome. It is never sold, and it is never used to show you ads.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings in the app; when you do, we remove your profile and associated personal data. Some records may be retained briefly where required to complete a shared activity or to meet legal obligations. Live location positions are short lived: they are removed when you stop sharing, and are cleared after the event.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, and access to the database is restricted by per-user security rules. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Age requirement
yallacome is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use the app, as set out in our Terms of Use. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above.
